My blog is easy going. I am far more feisty on Facebook than anywhere else, and on my blog I am the complete opposite. So chilled, that when I
do post something blunt it is almost like, oh my!
did I just say that? But that is as far as I go. I will never hold back in my fiction or my views, but I
do strive to be good people. And so I expect the
exact same thing from commenters.
I have already got into it with another very
well known author
, and it was stupid. What I thought started out as a simple conversation got out of hand when he
decided to use his political dogma as Thor's Hammer against me. Really, he just has problems controlling his anger and couldn't handle recent news events, which I can kinda understand. But while there was a lot of mutual blocking in the wake of our back and forth, it
did wake me up. Not everyone we come across online has full control of their mind or even emotions
in general. Some are bullies, some just don't know how to be classy and play nice.
So I am adding a comment policy that I
call, a
Mactataorship.
My comments section policy is simple:
If a commenter is any of the following issues, they get marked as spam, and I will consider blocking their IP address.
Issues that make commenters spam:
– Abuse.
– Racism.
– Sexism.
– Any other -ism I deem toxic.
– Shameless Promotion.
– Trolling.
Depending on the issue and
what is said, I will usually fire a warning shot. But only one. Then I feed the spammers to the Walker Pit.
I do not consider disagreeing an issue, just do so classy-like. This is my digs, and those who comment who are
classy I want them to feel comfortable and safe from toxic people.
If you ever feel there is an issue that you need to report, please do so! I have a report button on my site, along with my Twitter account.
Welcome to
WarpFieldPublishing, where all good people are safe!
