Soon the world will know a new friend of mine, Dayana Pierce. She is a very exciting author who isn't afraid to write about crazy stories. Dayana has many stories on the backburner that will challenge readers, but her most mainstream story which may or may not be that mainstream when she is done is called, By Invitation Only. This is a gay vampire erotica, but with a captivating storyline.
Vampires are at war with were-vamps. Yep, you heard that right. Were-vamps are vampire and werewolf. In this saga, a vampire by the name of Vincent is literally de-fanged and hooks with a gay vampire slayer, Seth. They forge a truce in order to bring down Vincent's old master, Hezekiah. An ugly and ancient vampire master who has built a huge kingdom. And Vincent will get a brand new set of fangs that will make the average vamp look like a bitch.
One problem, Hezekiah is one of the most powerful vampires in the world, Vincent will need to ally himself with Hezekiah's ultimate enemy, Vlad Tepes, the very vampire Dracula was based on. However, Vlad is no mere vampire as he is the king of a were-vamp army.
Dayana is still penning this saga, but when she is done, WarpFieldPublishing will add her books to the catalog. I am not real quick to pick up authors just yet, but Dayana thinks a lot like I do, so our visions for the press are on the same page. And we are still thinking about doing a series of books together which would be a spin-off of By Invitation Only, only I'd write as Dale Eldon, my horror pen-name.
If we do, my story, Smell of the Dead will get a re-write, and we'd write the sequels together.
I am excited by this partnership, and I can't wait to see where it will lead. I will keep you all posted.
And if you're wondering why Dayana doesn't show her real face, it is because the content she will be writing isn't something she wants her friends and family knowing about. Her stories tend to get pretty extreme, which I like, but not everybody will.
THE HEAD'S UP
Keep it here for the most cutting-edge fiction, from sci-fi to horror to speculative fiction. And WarpField isn't going to hold back. I, Flint Macwood, am creating an environment where authors can tell the stories they want to tell without fear of other people telling them how to fucking write. WFP is a press where all genders, sexualities, and all gender-identifications can tell the damn stories they want to. Anyone who has a problem with that can take it up with me. I am sick of living in a world where people want to tell each other what they can write, what they can read, how to create. I am an artist, I support artists creating the art they wish to create unapologetically.
This press is not chained to any political affiliation and doesn't bow to the personal religion of others. While I do believe in God, I don't believe in dogma. This press is a sanctuary for those who just want to create their stories in a fun and professional manner without backlash. At least from their press and their readers. I am willing to lose business over this if need be, as I believe in leading by example. I am not afraid of extremism which has been an issue from both sides of the political fence. My press seeks readers who are open-minded and accepting and who enjoy fun but challenging fiction. Dayana Pierce is one of those authors who will do both in spades.
